I'm going to be pretty windy, compared to the rest of you. That happens when you don't have to work anymore - you have time to blather. I live in Texas, and have a 14 year old Congo African grey, Allie. I adopted her at 7 and she was named Einstein. I did not care for it, but kept a version of his first name anyway. I recently lost my very beloved Quaker, Peppy, after a long illness. I've had chickens and have done some work rehabilitating songbirds, and these have helped me with parrots, and vice versa. A forum like this would have been a wonderful thing when I started out with parrots 20 years ago. It still is a good thing, of course, because no one knows it all. I do enjoy helping people who are new to parrots. I was lured over from a Quaker forum, and I hope to help make this one the really positive experience that one is.
